Dear Mahatma Gandhi,
It’s just a few years ago, you were here in India. We haven’t seen you but read about your empowerment, visionary, your non-violent approach, about satyagraha to fight injustice, your humanity, you were known as a spiritual and ideological leader. In today’s situation all these are lost somewhere. You believed in integrity and hence gave equality to Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christianity.
In the war of Independence, there were Hindu as well as Muslims, and today our nation is independent but people are scattered on the basis of religion. Fighting on small issues, disrespecting elders are so common today, everyone claims to be a leader and none of them compromises. I just recollect those days of yours, you have set an example of being the best leader. You gave Indian a new spirit and hope where there may be none. You started the fight for independence being a slave of India to empowering the public and achieving freedom for our country. Those days people were united but the nation was under control and today when the nation is independent but the people have divided themselves.
There are so many stories of your struggle and problems mentioned in the books, you practiced what you preached. The nation is now accustomed to the modern technology, letters and posts have no existence. You are a fascinating figure who sacrificed the thriving law practice and lived a simple life along with those who lived in poverty during the freedom struggle.
Thank you
With warm regards
Mrs Farhatnaz
