“Distance makes the heart grow fonder”.
Some agree, some disagree.
Some may agree, some may not.
Thin line – agreeing & disagreeing.
Distance between us, drilling.
Nearly killing, though we’re smiling.
Missing someone so distant, so far
Becoming our destiny.
Longing for someone across seas,
Driving us into tears.
Overwhelming, the feelings of joy;
Sadness, melancholy, rolled into one.
You, the reason for emotional stress.
You, the reason for mental solace.
You, the reason for outer calm.
You, the reason for inner storm.
Missing, the constant companion;
So far, yet so near: constant thoughts-
Missing your comforting presence.
You are the reason; meant to be sought.
The time spent with you,
Long drives, short conversations.
Sweet nothings, sour somethings.
So far outside, so near inside.
For you;
Love was past the moon;
Love was past the stars;
Love was past the seas;
Love was past the Sun.
Here and there, everywhere.
May not know ‘here’- where?
Except in our thoughts,
Deep inside our hearts.
We keep ourselves busy.
A million distractions can’t take
Your thoughts away.
A slight pause; you are there!

A zillion star,

Everything was in harmony
Seasons were romantic
Colours were in synergy
Suddenly, you feel those hands

Those eyes are no longer
Expressing love for you
Voice no longer uttering
Sweet nothings, sour somethings

For someone else, whom you didn’t know
Bartering the material charms
For the love, affection,
Care & understanding
Which were timeless, priceless!
Only questions remain
Answers not known
Tears, tears, and fears
Heart-melting
Life dwindling
Emotions flowing
Sentiment’s troubling
Face smiling!
How could you?
How would I?
Have you ever thought?
How difficult it is to live with
Those memories?
Time spent together
Indelible marks, scars
Fights, arguments, discussions
Love, affection, compassion
Promises of lifetime togetherness
Life couldn’t have been rosier
Autumn of life, felt like spring
You rolled red carpet of happiness!
Bliss, Love, Sharing & Caring
Love bloomed late in life
Accepted with open arms.
Alas! It was not this short-lived
Evaporated in a jiffy,
For some material gains of life
Or reasons best known to you
Betrayal couldn’t have been more
Painful, reverting than this!
I don’t want the reasons
I want to wait for the seasons
Spring to knock the door again
For victorious, courageous me
Even if it follows betrayal
It wouldn’t move me like this
Life would move on
Love myself more,
Enriched
Happy
Contented
Overjoyed
Life would move on
